Just six weeks after celebrating Reese's birthday, we celebrated Paige's second birthday. It was a two-pronged celebration: on the day of her actual birthday (a Thursday) we celebrated at home with an Oreo cake and a few gifts, we then took a road trip to see the grandparents over the weekend to celebrate all the October birthdays with family. (We somehow manage to squeeze 5 family birthdays into October every year.)
In the weeks leading up to her birthday Paige practiced singing "Happy Birthday" often. I think she's convinced that the lyrics always include "happy birthday to Paaaaige, happy birthday to you." It was certainly hard convincing her otherwise after she got to enjoy three cakes in Austin and San Antonio.
