For almost eight weeks, Reese refused to participate in class. I was on the verge of ending her enrollment but held back after a supportive discussion with her teacher.
For those eight weeks, Reese would huddle in my lap hiding her face. Her participation was at 0% and for awhile I was sure she knew more about the composition of my tshirt than any instruction going on. Then, during her ninth week, she jumped up, and with some prompting from the instructor joined in. She hasn't looked back since.
While Reese is dancing, Paige stays in the day care facility, but the last ten minutes of class is always dedicated to "free dancing" and siblings are welcome. Paige loves to dance with the big girls.
